3-column blog themes
This is more of a bookmark than a post, but I’ve only just discovered the blog of Garry Newman (who some might know from Garry’s Mod). Looking at the HTML, it doesn’t look like he’s using a particular generator (e.g. WordPress) or a theme, so he must have custom-built it.
What I love about it is the logical unfolding from the meta-level navigation on the left, through the column of densely-listed posts in the middle, to the display of the individual post on the right.

John Johnston Hi Doug,I am pretty sure you could do this with WordPress, using a recent theme and the Site Editor.
John Johnston Me again, I made a wee experiment using the site editor in Glow blogs. Not quite there, but I didn't spend long. Wrote some notes.
