Teachers have duties, mainly to bring about valuable learning, and that is all they can be held accountable for. They did not sign on to imitate the style of other teachers, even successful ones, unless they are not able to succeed by doing it their way. And until you have shown that they do fail in their chosen style, on the task they undertook, you cannot penalise them for not adopting the secondary characteristics of those who are little more likely to succeed - maybe.
